Advanced Lighting in C4D

Advanced lighting using the new physical renderer in R13 of C4D, trying for a more subtle tonal range using more than the usual three point lights, first is the orginal render and the second is post work in Photoshop.

Total War Poster



I haven’t updated my blog for quite a while and feel a little guilty about it, I haven’t been idle and just completed another project, this one is a games poster based on the “Total War” franchise, the basic project concept was to give it a movie poster feel, the knight was modelled and rendered in C4D as usual and most of the compositing was then done in Photoshop.

Painting with light



"Painting with light" is an Experimental image, created by using geometric shapes to produce a glowing image, the main exercise was to create the "glow" lighting effect in Photoshop and create something from simple geometry, a good example of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts...
